La conteneurisation !

Historiquement, les civilisations ont toujours voulu découvrir les richesses des cultures étrangères. Cela a ainsi engendré le développement des échanges commerciaux entre elles (cf. La route de la Soie). De plus les « Temps Modernes » et les grandes découvertes ont permis aux hommes de développer ces richesses via les voies Rz_47maritimes. L'afflux d'épices, de fruits et légumes exotiques ravissaient les tables des rois et autres seigneurs. Cet aspect de la mondialisation a pris tout son sens avec la révolution Industrielle et la production de masse. Les échanges entre pays ont ainsi eu un essor important. Le commerce international a connu son apogée en 1913 (volume exporté rapporté au PIB). Après les deux guerres mondiales, les échanges ont repris de plus belle ce qui a permis de solliciter la créativité des hommes pour trouver d'autres moyens de transporter ces marchandises.

La conteneurisation fait partie des inventions qui ont révolutionné le transport de marchandises. Imaginé par l'entrepreneur américain, Malcolm McLean dans les 60's, la conteneurisation est un processus qui généralise l'utilisation de conteneurs, sortes de grosses boîtes métalliques, pour le transport de marchandises.

Ce processus a réellement pris son essor lors de l'apparition d'une normalisation internationale pour la taille des conteneurs. Ainsi ont été créés les « vingt pieds » aussi connues sous le nom « d'EVP » (Equivalent Vingt Pieds – en anglais TEU pour Twenty-foot Equivalent Unit). On parle aussi de conteneurs quarante pieds qui représentent 2 EVP. L'EVP est aujourd'hui devenu une nouvelle unité de mesure. Il existe également différents types de conteneurs qui s'adaptent aux marchandises transportées : les conteneurs-citernes, les plains-ciels ou les réfrigérés.

Aujourd'hui, la conteneurisation représente 80% du trafic de marchandises et les raisons de ce succès sont simples :

Des dimensions standardisées qui permettent une manutention facilitée et une meilleure productivité.
Possibilité de transporter toutes sortes de marchandises, biens manufacturés, vrac, fruits, légumes…
Adapté à tous les types de transports (maritime, routier, fluvial et ferré), ce qui facilite les transports de pré et post acheminement qui nécessitent des transbordements.
Diminution des coûts de transport grâce à la massification.
Diminution des coûts de casse de produits, il n'y a pas de rupture de charge, seul le conteneur est manipulé, donc si la marchandise est correctement empotée, la casse est inexistante.
Diminution des vols, les conteneurs sont généralement plombés, et peuvent disposer de cadenas.

Le conteneur est un outil qui a révolutionné les échanges de marchandises au travers le monde et qui a ainsi favorisé la mondialisation. Le transport maritime a grandement bénéficié de cette révolution et actuellement l'ensemble des ports mondiaux sont capables d'accueillir des conteneurs. Des logistiques entières reposent sur ce mode de transport avec par exemple les lignes régulières (liner shipping) entre les grands pôles de production et de consommation (Europe, Asie, Amériques). Cependant de nouvelles problématiques sont apparues car le mouvement des conteneurs n'est rentable que grâce à la valeur ajoutée qu'il déplace (quid des retours à vide) . Effectivement les échanges commerciaux sont inégaux car les importations venant d'Asie sont plus nombreuses que les exportations. De ce fait, il se crée un déficit commercial dans les mouvements de conteneurs.

Each loading certificate is created for your company and BL information. These information are being sent immediately to authorities in West Africa. Once the payment has been proceed there is no refund for the loading certificate.
If your certificate is not validated they payment may be sent back to exporter. Please be aware that all transaction costs will be on exporter.
Refunds will be done only through the Original Mode of Payment.
